Quads and Quazars
Quads and Quazars was invented in 1979 by G. Keith Still. This Palm version owes its existence to his kind permission for release. I was inspired by an article in Scientific American magazine (March 1996 "Mathematical Recreations" by Ian Stewart pp. 108, 109). The object of the game is to complete a square (in any orientation) with your "quads". Quads are the basic play piece and appear as a or a . Players alternate placing quads. If your opponent is about to complete a square you can block him with a "quazar" which appear as a . Each player starts the game with 7 quazars. You can place any number of quazars on a given turn (up to your limit of 7). You end your turn by placing a quad. The current version has three difficulty levels.
