Guerrilla Opticals employs a JK Optical Printer with ThingM controller (as featured by Ironic Research Labs) and a 16mm Mitchell Camera with EL-Nikkor printing lens.
I cannot say enough about Dave Milici and Ironic Research Labs. If you are doing any stop motion, animation, optical printing or motion control, you should definitely contact him at the link above. This is as good as it gets.
A note about pricing
To figure out 16mm footage, multiply Super 8 footage by 1.8. For Regular 8mm, multiply footage by 2. Pricing include raw stock (low-contrast print stocks are used unless otherwise specified), labor and one hour of bench time (for timing, etc) for every $100 spent. Price does not include processing or workprint. Guerrilla Opticals has a $100 minimum. Although the above list will give you a ball-park figure for your work, I do discount larger jobs, so please contact me for a real estimate.amukamal@ix.netcom.com
