Job Hunting
Hunting for employment is a job in itself.
So this section is a repository for miscellaneous information that might help in the task. Some material is bit older, but even old information is sometimes still valid. Use your own judgement.
- Job hunting sites
- A set of links to Job Boards and recruiters, (posted May 2001) to the WWWAC mailing list by one of its subscribers. An extensive list, but without commentary nor recommendations.
- Ophir Prusak's page
- Ophir's page of advice and links. Also a little humor to keep you from getting too discouraged during your job hunt.
(note: He includes some advice I posted in April 2002, but I'm including him because he's created a good page.)
- Alan Baumann's home page
- This is my idea of well-done self-promotion. Not only does he include his resume, which is well-written, but the home page almost invites you to interview him. Notice that the first image you see is Alan working at his terminal.... smiling. (Okay, he won't get work as a web-designer, but for a techie position it's a good sell)
- Finding a Linux Job
- Some advice from Heather Stern of "Linux Journal"
which applies to non-Linux techie jobs as well.last updated April 15, 2002
