Welcome to my web page.  This is my first attempt at a web site. It's been fairly easy to build, mostly using Word for Windows. Sorry this index page isn't very pretty, but please check out the hyperlink below.

I've completed writing a tutorial on a digital communications forward error correction technique called convolutional encoding with Viterbi decoding. This tutorial features working simulation source code written in the C programming language. It is written for an undergraduate-level audience, and should also be of interest to anyone else interested in digital communications techniques.

The next time I have a month or two without major commitments, I hope to expand my digital communications tutorial offering, most likely with a similar discussion of Reed-Solomon or (dare I say?) turbo coding.

Thank you for visiting!
