Frank Lester Evans

Frank Evans was born in Lyman (near Kennebunk), Maine in 1869.  As the youngest of seven children on a small farm, he found his livelihood with the  Boston & Maine Railroad.

He followed the construction of the line south, residing in Rochester, New Hampshire before settling in Nashua. He served as head of maintenance for all lines in New Hampshire.

The attached picture shows Frank opposite the Nashua Union Station (left rear) during the flood of 1936.

He passed away in December 1937.
