Lovina Guernsey, daughter of  Abner and Azubah (Streeter), was born in Lisbon (Landaff), New Hampshire on July 26, 1825.

Following Richard's death in 1885, she joined her son Byron in Passumpsic, Vermont.  She died of  pneumonia in Waterford, Vt., July 20, 1895.

Richard Smith, son of Beverly, was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1811.   He married Lovina on May 9, 1847.

He was a farmer residing in Littleton, New Hampshire from 1844 until he died August 12, 1885. 

He is reputed to be the first Catholic Representative in the state of New Hampshire serving in 1869 as a Democrat.
