Phosphate at Home

Obtain 5 gallons of "Oxisolv" from Eastwood . Toss you rusted bare metal parts in the bucket (hinges, latch, shock tower mounts, tire rod ends etc. and pull them out tomorrow.

Voila! The rust is gone and you have beautifully phosphated parts. Rinse them off, then when dry, rub them dowm with a rag lightly soaked in oil and your parts are concours correct.

5 Gals of the stuff will cost you about $125 but it will more than pay for itself compared to time and frustration at the sandblast booth and dealing with a coater. This stuff eats rust like no tomorrow. Take a 1 gallon plastic milk jug and cut the top off it forming a small bucket. Take a razor blade and cut 15 to 20 small drains slot around the bottom for easy drainage. Use this as a basket for your small stuff (bolts, nuts fasteners etc...) by putting you parts in it and immersing in the bucket for 30 min to a hour and you'll not have to sandblast small stuff either!
