The WGSD is fully registerable with the AKC, CKC, and the UKC, with full breeding rights & participation rights for agility and obedience events. We can continue to compete in conformation with the dark GSD's in the UKC and I highly recommend doing so. Our beautiful whites can also compete in conformation in the Worldwide Kennel Club (WWKC) and the American Rare Breed Association (ARBA). However, the color "white" has been voted an AKC/CKC breed standard disqualification in the conformation ring by the parent club (GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG CLUB of AMERICA/CANADA). It is for this reason that clubs such as ours were formed - so that we could continue to show our dogs in conformation. Without conformation judging, there would be no guidelines upon which to base our breeding standards by. The Northern Horizon White German Shepherd Dog Fanciers is a group of energetic, enthusiastic group of people whose main focus is their White German Shepherd Dogs and whose main goal is to promote the breed through many fun activities! This club was formed under the guidelines of the parent club WGSDF's, inc. for the purpose of giving people in the north-central USA a place to physically participate in the activities that would promote the breed, such as conformation shows, parades, obedience fun matches, etc.
