THIS INDENTURE Made the first day of June Ano Domini one thousand seven hundred and sixty nine BETWEEN William Heaffer of Cogallico Township Lancaster County & Province of Pennsylvania yeoman and Catharina his wife of the one part and Henry Mohler Senior of the said Township County and Province yeoman of the other part. WITNESSETH that the said William Heaffer and Catharina his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred & ten pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania to him the said William Heaffer sell & truly in hand paid by the said Henry Mohler Senior at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he the said William Heaffer doth hereby acknowledge and thereof & of every part & parcel thereof doth acquit exonerate and discharge forever the said Henry Mohler Senr. his heirs and assigns by these presents Have granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed & confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto the said Henry Mohler Senr. his heirs and assigns forever

ALL THAT CERTAIN piece tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in said Cogallico Township in the County of Lancaster aforesaid BEGINNING at a post near John Heafly's & Jacob Mohler's lands at the Bank of Cogallico Creek and from thence extending down said Creek forty two perches to a post thence North fifty degrees West nineteen perches & one half of a perch to a post thence West twenty two perches to a post thence North sixteen degrees East twenty nine perches and a half of a perch by George Mergle's land to a post thence South eighty three degrees East thirty one perches to a post thence North sixty one perches to a post thence North thirty five degrees West three hundred perches by George Mergle's land to a post in a line between this & Jacob Kellers land thence East by North in the said line seventeen perches and one half of a perch to a post thence by of the said Henry Mohler South thirty six degrees East three hundred & fifty perches to a post thence South forty four degrees East twenty perches to a post between this & John Heafley's land thence South fifty seven degrees West fifty four perches to a post thence South forty four degrees East twenty five perches to the place of Beginning CONTAINING fifty eight acres and a proportionable allowance.

BEING a part of a large tract of land commonly called White's Manor by t Proprietary Patent recorded at Philada. in the Office for Recording of Deeds in Patent Book A Vol. 6, Page 349 &c. for the consideration therein mentioned granted to John White Merchant of the City of Philadelphia which said John White by his Indenture bearing date the 19th day of November Anno Domini 1736 for the consideration therein mentioned granted part of the said Manor viz. 180 acres & allowce. including the above described tract to John Margle Senior by his indenture bearing date the 4th day of June Anno Dom. 1762, for the consideration therein mentioned granted of the aforesaid tract of 180 acs. & allowance to his two sons John Mergle Junr. and George Mergle ninety nine acres & one hundred & eleven perches including the above described tract which said John Mergle & George & Sabine his wife by their Indenture bearing date the 24th day of June Anno Domini 1766 for the consideration therein mentioned granted the above described tract being part of the aforesaid 99 acres and 111 perches unto William Heafer party to these presents.

TOGETHER WITH all and singular the houses outhouses edifices & buildings thereon erected & built profits comodities advantages emoluments hereditaments & appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders rents issues & profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest use trust property possession claim & demand whatsoever of him the said William Heafer of in or to the same or every or any part thereof and also all deeds evidences and writings touching or concerning the same or any part thereof & now in the custody or possession of him the said William Heaver or which he may or come by without suit at law or equity.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said piece or parcel of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said Henry Mohler Senr. his heirs & assigns to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said Henry Mohler Senr. his heirs & assigns to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said Henry Mohler Senr. his heirs & assigns forever Subject to he yearly quitrent at the rate of two shillings sterling per hundred now due & hereafter to become due & payable to the chief lord or lords of the fee thereof.

AND the said William Heaffer & Catherine his wife for themselves their heirs executors & administrators do covenant promise & grant to & with the said Henry Mohler Senr. his heirs & assigns that he the said William Heafer his heirs & assigns and all & every other person & persons his or their heirs anything having or claiming in the said premisses above granted or meant mentioned or intended so to be or any part thereof by from or under him them or any or either of them shall & will from time to time and at all times hereafter upon the reasonable request & at the proper costs & charges of him the said Henry Mohler Senr. his heirs and assigns make do and execute or cause & procure to be made done and executed all and every such further and other such lawful & reasonable act & acts thing & things conveyances & assurances in the law whatsoever for the further better more sure & perfect granting conveying & assuring of all & singular the said premisses with the appurtenances unto the said Henry Mohler Senr. his heirs & assigns forever as by him the sd. Henry Mohler Senr. or his heirs or assigns or his or their Council learned in the law shall be reasonably advised devised & required. AND he the said William Heafer for himself & for his heirs the said piece or parcel of land above described & premisses unto the said Henry Mohler Senr. his heirs & assigns against him the said William Heafer & his heirs & against all & every other person & persons whatsoever lawfully claiming said premisses or any part thereof by from or under him them or any of them shall & will warrant and forever defend by these presents. LANCASTER COUNTY, SS: this first day of June Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred & sixty nine before me the subscriber one of his Majestices Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid personally came the above named William Heaffer and Catharina his wife & acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act & deed & desired that the same might be recorded as such The said Catharina his wife being of full age & privately examined, acknowledged that she consented thereto willingly and without compulsion.
