Who We Are

Computer Management Corporation of The South, located in central Florida along the Space Coast, is a privately-held consulting firm that specializes in custom database design.

In addition to our work with various companies, we became personally interested in genealogy and family history. Since 1996, we have been researching the Rowe Family of Nassau County, Florida. As a result, we created various database programs for our own use in cataloguing, indexing and organizing our own materials.

As we looked at some of the programs we had created for our own use, we decided to make them available for sale. Each program is user-friendly and designed for the non-computer user.

Rowe Family Research

Our genealogical research of the Rowe family of Nassau Co, FL has led us throughout the South. We are attempting to find the parents of Peter A. Rowe, b. abt 1824 in McIntosh County, GA and of his brother, Edward Rowe, b. 1818 in McIntosh County, GA. As a result, we are researching several Rowe family lines, particularly those families in FL, GA, SC, NC and VA, in an attempt to establish a link to Peter A. Rowe.

Our ancestor, Peter A. Rowe, (1824-1891) was a Florida Pioneer who settled in the Florida Territory prior to Florida Statehood in 1845. We find our first evidence of Peter at Ft. Heilman, near Middleburg, Florida on 9 Dec 1839 where he mustered in to fight in the 2nd Seminole War. Peter settled in Nassau County, Florida near the St. Mary's River, where many of his descendants live today.

Peter A. Rowe and his 1st wife, Rachel Waldron have been documented as Florida Pioneers (residents of the Territory of Florida prior to statehood in 1845) through the Florida State Genealogical Society, Inc. Rachel's parents, David Mikel and Sarah Waldron are also documented as Florida Pioneers. Copies of their Pioneer files (for descendant Morris A. "Buddy" Rowe) can be obtained from the Florida State Archives in Tallahassee.
