The man was chest deep in the middle of the stream, one foot precariously maneuvering a darkly luminous polyhedron and the other foot purchasing ground among the slippery rocks. Both his hands were being used to simultaneously remain vertical against the swift current and to hold the other items he plucked from the stream. A large sack, water-ballooning with river water, was strung around his neck and under his arm. It held other precious finds he was able to seize that day.
