Kinda Cool, Ain't it?
Built for the 1977 motion picture "Damnation Alley", starring George Peppard (Banacek, and The A-Team), and Jan-Michael Vincent.
After expressing my excitement of seeing it to a friend, he later returned from an L.A. vacation with this passing shot of it. (Apparently with a For Sale sign in the front window...)
Note the triangular axle, sporting three truck tires each.
Missing is the accordian-pleated center section, (like a city bus uses) and original roof mounted rocket launcher.
The fact that this vehicle was built functional, rather than a "mock up model" for filming, makes it rare indeed.
