MSD Warning Page!

Before proceeding, I would like to offer a warning to those considering, or attempting to connect an MSD 6A to their StarQuest.
Initial research, (and a letter to MSD technical staff) discovered the MSD does not support the installation of their 6A to the StarQuest.  Reasons of incompatibility with the ECU were given, and stern warnings the the MSD technical staff had destroyed a ECU (a rather expensive mistake..) in their attempt to connect the unit.

Therefore you will be proceeding at your own risk..

Fortunately, I did not know any of this before I installed my 6A, and had no trouble at all with making it function! ( And function very well, I might add!  )
In fairness, it may simply be that I got all the wires in the right place the first time, and did not experiment with the other possible connections.. Also, it may simply have been ECU model related...
The compatibility to our cars is still debatable, but so far I have yet to hear of a fried ECU while using my wiring diagram.  But again, almost everyone I have helped is running the latest ECU  Part Number MD120197.  This ECU was most common beginning on production date 06/87 until the car terminated in 1989.
Again, MSD says it can not be done, yet several have experienced success...

As you can see, the decision to proceed is in your court, and I will not be held accountable for your decisions.
